Hi, I’m Asier — I work in facilities management and I’m proud to be part of the LGBT+ in FM network. I’m a gay man, an immigrant, and someone who understands the value of spaces where you can truly be yourself — not just physically, but culturally and emotionally too.
My lived experience has shaped the way I approach inclusion. I care deeply about building environments where everyone feels a genuine sense of belonging, where our differences are not just accepted but celebrated. Through the lens of intersectionality, I’m especially focused on how overlapping identities — like being LGBT+, a migrant, or part of any underrepresented group — affect how we move through the workplace.
Inclusion, for me, is about more than policy — it’s about cultural humility, listening with intention, and creating systems that support people equitably. Being part of this network means joining a community that shares those values and works to make the FM sector a place where people from all backgrounds can thrive.
